Terms and Conditions (the not-so-fine print)

Soteria offers our paid customers a rewards program for their willingness to share their experience with Soteria with people they know. When you share about Soteria and the person you talked to about Soteria becomes a new first-time paid customer, we reward you for doing it.

We are committed to helping our customers (you, your) make the most of your willingness to promote Soteria Worx (Soteria, we, us, our) to your friends, family, and colleagues. Soteria’s Customer Rewards Program (Program) gives us an opportunity to reward you for your efforts. These Terms and Conditions (Terms) outline how we do it. These Terms provide you with the rights and obligations that you have, as well as the rights and obligations Soteria has. These Terms are not complicated or too technical, and many of the terms are in the form of questions that are most often asked by customers. They all serve as a way to protect you and us from having any misunderstandings about what we are endeavoring to do in making it worth your while to tell others about Soteria.

1. What do we offer?  Soteria offers Customer Rewards Program gift certificates to paid customers of Soteria for referring other new first-time paid customers to Soteria. 
2. How does the gift certificate program work? When you refer someone you know personally to Soteria who becomes a first-time paid customer, we will reward you five percent (5%) in the form of a customer rewards gift certificate for the total labor services we provide your new customer referral. This CRP gift certificate can be redeemed with your next paid service with Soteria. 
3. What is the value of the gift certificates I receive?  The redeemable value of each coupon is five percent (5%) of the total contracted labor amount of a new Soteria Worx customer who you have personally referred to Soteria. It can only be used towards contracted labor services through Soteria Worx. 
4. What can my gift certificates be used for?  Coupons may be redeemed in part or in full with Soteria for any labor portion of any contracted work performed by Soteria up to a maximum of thirty percent (30%) of the total labor charges for any particular contracted work. You can also choose to donate your coupon to any one of the three social initiatives that Soteria supports as a social enterprise.
5. How do I donate my rewards gift certificate to a charitable cause in the form of a cash donation?  Soteria is a social enterprise. We are passionate about three social initiatives and want to actively fund and/or support these initiatives. If you would like to donate your gift certificate(s) to any of the three social initiatives we support, we can do this on your behalf. Please send us an email and let us know if you would like to do this. Once we get your approval to convert your gift certificate into cash for one of our social initiatives, we will convert your gift certificate(s) into real money and make sure that it gets to the social initiative of Soteria you have chosen.  
6. How many gift certificates can I redeem at one time?  You can redeem as many gift certificates as you have been rewarded as long as the total redeemable value of the coupons redeemed is not more than thirty percent (30%) of the net contracted labor charges for the work we do for you. By net contracted labor charges we mean all charges of a job contract that are the labor portion of the contract. As an example, if you had $450.00 in gift certificates, you can apply all of them to any work that you contract with Soteria to do as long as the $450 in gift certificates are equal to or less than 30% of the total labor charges. As an example, let’s say you contract Soteria to paint the interior of your home, and the total labor to paint the interior of your home was $1,500. If you have $450 in gift certificates, you would pay $1,050 instead of $1,500 in labor. 
7. What happens to whatever balance is left over from the gift certificates I redeem?  If you redeem your certificates and there is a balance remaining, you can have the balance of any portion of a gift certificate applied to your next contracted service with Soteria (see example above).
8. Will I get an actual physical gift certificate from Soteria?  Yes. However, every gift certificate you receive will also have a digital twin. Each issued physical coupon will have a digital gift certificate with a unique customer referral number, along with your customer account information, and an embedded security feature.  The customer referral number is tied directly to the account of the new customer you referred to Soteria and every customer referral number is unique to the job that the coupon was issued from. In other words, you don’t have to worry about someone stealing your rewards, counterfeiting them, or your rewards being mistakenly given to someone else. They are yours to keep since we keep very accurate records of the coupons we give out and those which are redeemed. 
9. When will I receive my gift certificate?  Your physical gift certificate is typically mailed to you within 2 weeks from the time your referral has become a paid customer of ours; however, your digital gift certificate is emailed to you almost immediately once the customer you referred is a paid customer. A paid customer is someone who has paid Soteria in full for the work they contracted with Soteria to have done.
10. Can the redeemable value of gift certificates change?  The amount printed on any gift certificate that you receive from Soteria is what it is redeemable for. Should Soteria determine they want to offer more or less for a customer referral in the future, they have the right to do so, but it will not impact the redeemable value of any gift certificate(s) you have already earned. The value of your gift certificate is recorded in our accounting system along with your customer number and the customer referral number unique to your customer account with us. So, if you lose your digital coupon, you have not lost your rewards. Think of the digital gift certificate(s) as a tangible way to let you know we have added rewards to your account for any future work  Soteria does for you.
11. How can I find out how many Customer Rewards Program gift certificates I have and what my balance is for my coupons?  Holding on to your physical coupons is the best way. Do a search in your email for the subject line, "Your Customer Rewards Gift Certificate has Arrived". You can also submit a request via email for this information by including your customer number in your email. We will respond - typically within one business day - with your CRP balance. We do periodically send out emails and/or texts to our customers who are enrolled in our Customer Rewards Program along with specials we are running. It will detail, 1) the names of those you have referred to Soteria who have completed our Prospective Customer Survey (the “How Can We Help You” form on our website), 2) the total amount of the rewards you have earned from first-time customer referrals, 3) the total rewards you have redeemed, and 4) the balance of your rewards remaining. 
12. Can the gift certificates be redeemed for cash?   There is no redeemable value of gift certificates beyond being used for contracted work with Soteria Worx? In short, they cannot be cashed in for real money, unless it is for the express purpose of having us donate your rewards in the form of cash to one of our three social initiatives.
13. Can gift certificates be used to pay for job materials, supplies, equipment, equipment rentals, or other non-labor expenses with Soteria?  Coupons cannot be used to pay for materials, supplies, equipment, equipment rentals or any other non-labor expenses related to any contracted work with Soteria. Coupons are redeemable only towards labor charges.
14. Is there a limit to how many of my friends and family I can refer to Soteria? No. A Program participant can refer as many people as they know personally to Soteria and receive reward gift certificates for every single person they refer to Soteria when their referral becomes a paid customer of Soteria. 
15. What is a personal referral?  A personal referral is someone that an enrollee in our CPR knows personally who needs any of the services that Soteria personally offers. This will be someone who has your full name and telephone number that you have used with Soteria Worx as a customer. It is one of the ways we validate all of the referrals we receive from our customers.
16. What is a paid customer?  A paid customer is someone who has had contracted work done by Soteria and who has paid for the contracted services in full.
17. Is there an expiration date on the gift certificate(s) of this Program?  There is no expiration date on the Program’s gift certificate(s) for as long as the Program is active.
18. Is the Customer Rewards Program legal?  There is no law against rewarding customers for their willingness to tell others about their positive experiences with any company. This is a gift certificate incentive program just like any other incentive program that offers discounts and rewards to its customers. However, we do not want to do anything that would tarnish our good name. If there is any law prohibiting the use of a referral program like ours where you live, this program will be deemed void where prohibited by law and you are hereby notified not to use it.
19. Can the Customer Rewards Program be canceled by Soteria?  Soteria reserves the right to terminate this Program and any benefits it may offer to or has awarded to its customers, for any reason, at any time, if we feel that it is in the best interest of Soteria’s purpose and mission, financial stability, or profitability; its employees, partners, customers, and, but not limited to our social initiatives, to do so. In other words, if we decide the program is over, it's over. There is no financial or legal recourse for any customer or any representative of any kind as a customer. As an act of good faith, Soteria will attempt to notify every customer who has unredeemed rewards gift certificates and give them thirty (30) days to redeem their gift certificates for contracted work that a customer with a remaining balance of rewards gift certificates may need. And, we will allow you to gift your gift certificates to someone you know if you don't have any work to use the gift certificates for. Beyond this, all participants in this Program, past and present, agree to forfeit any gift certificate value - perceived or otherwise - upon the termination of this Program by Soteria.
20. Are there any other terms or conditions to this Program?  As applicable, these Terms are supplemental to all other Terms that may be found on our Website under the Notices section of our website, all of which are to be considered a part of this Program and binding upon both parties (Soteria and you). There are no other warranties or guarantees, implied or otherwise, that govern the Terms of this Program.
