How We Conduct Business

How We Conduct Business

Soteria Worx is not in business solely to make money. Yes, we are intent on being able to make a profit and pay our workers a living wage, but it is not why we work. Our WHY is our greatest motivation. It is what drives us to be the best at what we do for our customers. The greater our success, the greater our ability to give back to the communities we serve. Our passion for serving our community and our why is only overshadowed by our determination to make every customer a 100% fully-satisfied customer.

Our DNA

We are fluent in serving. Our goal is to serve our community through the services we offer and the social initiatives we are dedicated to. As a handyman, repair, home improvements, and maintenance services company, our goal is to be 100% successful in leaving a lasting positive impression on everyone we serve. This is our daily mission.

We are fluent in generosity. We want our generosity to impact the communities we serve by being generous with our time, our talents, and our treasures. Our goal in achieving this is three-fold.

We offer Discounted Services. We recognize that not everyone can afford to hire a company like ours, so we endeavor to discount our services to those who could not otherwise afford to hire a company like ours.

While we realize that giving up some of our profits to those who cannot afford us otherwise, we also realize that at one time or another, everyone needs a hand up in life. We believe having a discounted option for people in need of our services is one of many great ways to offer this hand up.

Community Volunteerism. Our second way of being generous is to help the less fortunate, the underserved, and the marginalized in our community through providing our time and talents to those in need. Part of this volunteer initiative is to build a volunteer network of socially-conscientious people who would like to help with our social initiatives.

Giving of our Time, Talents, and Treasures. The third way we are choosing to operate with a spirit of generosity is in giving up to 20% of our time, our talent, and our treasures towards our three primary social initiatives in the communities that we serve.

This is why we are so determined to make a lasting positive impact on our customers. The more happy our customers are, the more referrals we will get. The more referrals we get, the more financial resources we will have. The more financial resources we have, the more generous we can be in giving to the needs of others.

Our Vision Statement

We embrace free enterprise and capitalism for social good and seek to be a profitable enterprise whose brand is synonymous with

  • providing exceptional service in the handyman, repair, improvements, and maintenance services industry,
  • being committed to our promise to be a company that is built upon a “100% customer satisfaction, 100% of the time” customer service policy, and
  • to be known as a corporate brand that is 100% committed to doing good through the giving of our time, our talents, and our treasures in the communities we serve.

What We Believe

Soteria Worx is a for-profit enterprise driven by purposeful intent. We don’t claim to be the only socially responsible business of our kind in the communities we serve, but we do believe our choice to be a social enterprise can be a positive force for change in how local businesses – large or small – conduct business. As one advocate of our mindset said, “social enterprises are pathfinders for a new way of doing business that is good for our community and good for the world.”

  • We believe making a profit is an honorable goal for any for-profit company who desires to grow and add jobs in the marketplace.
  • We believe that we are not in business solely to make money, but to be an enterprise known for being a positive force for good in the communities we serve and to the world.
  • We believe a company can be socially responsible in how it uses its profits and still be a good investment for socially-responsible investors.
  • We believe that the old ways of doing business where a company is only interested in the bottom line of their financial statement is no longer an acceptable corporate ideology or a viable choice for socially conscious customers.
  • We believe that a company can be highly successful, socially responsible, and have a corporate culture where employees are treated fairly and considered stakeholders in the social equity that we provide to the world.
